Childbirth and Family Education Classes
Medical City Las Colinas is proud to partner with North Dallas Doula Associates to offer a variety of family education classes to help expectant parents prepare for an exceptional birth. Studies show that parents who participate in the decisions surrounding the birth of their baby are more satisfied with the birth experience, and begin their new life more confidently. Our childbirth classes will give parents-to-be the opportunity to learn about the process of birth, the resources available to manage the challenges of labor and a fun and interactive way to prepare for the birth of their baby.
This class is ideal for expectant parents who want an interactive, comprehensive childbirth class. Topics include third trimester pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. Common hospital routines, medications and labor management are discussed in depth. This full-length format lends itself to a variety of group interaction, media and discussions. Couples will engage in decision-making exercises, labor skill rehearsals and activities to help prepare for birth. A tour of the hospital is included.
